Resolute to Boost All Pulp Grade Prices May 1

Resolute Forest Products, Montreal, Que.,Canada, is raising its list prices for all grades of pulp in North America by $40 per ton, effective May 1, 2017. The company’s NBSK (northern bleached softwood kraft) price will rise to $1,120 per ton, its SBSK (southern bleached softwood kaft) pulp will increase to $1,080 per ton, and its NBHK (northern bleached hardwood kraf) pulp price will be $980 per ton.

Resolute’s fluff pulp (in North America and Europe) will increase to $1,120 per ton. Domtar, Canada, had made a similar move on April 17, 2017.
