"Make the most of what you’ve got" is not just good advice—it’s a way of viewing your mill’s processes and equipment with an eye toward optimal results. It’s also the focus of the TAPPI PEERS Conference, which will be held Nov. 5 - 8, 2017, in Norfolk, Va., USA.

PEERS (Pulping, Engineering, Environmental, Recycling, Sustainability) tackles the most forward-leaning topics in the forest products arena today. The highly-customizable program is designed by working professionals to address the challenges attendees face in these critical areas. Yet PEERS is more than an acronym: it represents a peer-focused approach attendees cannot find anywhere else. Leading-edge technical knowledge is presented alongside opportunities for face-to-face interaction with industry experts, peers, and colleagues. Attendees are active participants and contributors to "Ask the Experts" discussions, roundtable forums, topic-specific panels, and more.

Plus, PEERS is co-located with TAPPI’s International Bioenergy and Bioproducts Conference, November 7-9. IBBC’s highly-focused program includes technical presentations, expert panels, case studies, and reports from projects that offer a deeper analysis of technology and economics in commercializing biorefineries.

It’s not too late to participate! TAPPI seeks PEERS/IBBC 2017 paper submissions that provide reports or case studies on the latest advances in technology, as well as fundamental process knowledge to educate those new to the industry. This is a terrific opportunity to be a part of a unique and impactful conference experience.
