West Linn Paper Co., West Linn. Ore., USA, this week formally launched Capistrano® coated one-side (C1S), a heavyweight grade designed for specialty packaging, converting, and litho lamination. The 90 bright, gloss grade is designed to print beautifully and hold up to the rigors of folding, die-cutting, lamination, or any strenuous printing and converting processes typically required for a C1S paper.

"Our Capistrano grade has been an industry leader in the high-end print market for decades," said Tom Gallagher, president of sales and marketing. "The development of the heavyweight Capistrano C1S grade is a natural extension to the current product line and offers customers a reliable sheet that looks and performs at the highest level."

Available in 70#, 80#, and 95# gloss, the Capistrano C1S paper is ideal for point-of-purchase, book jackets, specialized packaging or metalizing, high-end gift wrap, converting, and large format printing. The Capistrano C1S grades offer a high-gloss, high-brightness sheet with a blue-white shade and are available with FSC or SFI certification upon request.

West Linn Paper Co. is an independent manufacturer of C2S and C1S coated free-sheet, inkjet, and specialty packaging web papers and is the oldest active paper mill in the western U.S.
