Graphic Packaging’s Doss Named ASPI Customer Executive of the Year

Michael P. Doss, president and CEO of Graphic Packaging Holding Co., Atlanta, Ga., USA, has been recognized as the ASPI 2017 Customer Executive of the Year.

"Michael and Graphic Packaging exemplify what this award stands for; a history of success through strategy, hard work, and execution that includes highly functioning relationships with their suppliers," said Keith Kemp, ASPI president and the VP, Global Sales, AstenJohnson Advanced Fabrics.

Prior to Jan. 1, 2016, Doss held the position of president and COO from Oct. 1, 2015, through Dec. 31, 2015, and COO from Jan. 1, 2014, until Sept. 30, 2015. Prior to these positions, he served as the EVP, Commercial Operations of Graphic Packaging Holding Co. Prior to this, Doss held the position of SVP, Consumer Packaging Division. Prior to the Altivity Transaction, he had served as SVP, Consumer Products Packaging of Graphic Packaging Corp. since September 2006.  From July 2000 until September 2006, he was VP of Operations, Universal Packaging Division. Doss was director of Web Systems for the Universal Packaging Division prior to his promotion to VP of Operations. Since joining Graphic Packaging International Corporation in 1990, Mr. Doss has held positions of increasing management responsibility, including plant manager at the Gordonsville, Tenn., and Wausau, Wis., plants. 

The Customer Executive of the Year Award is the highest honor that ASPI can bestow on an individual. The award is presented annually to a customer executive who has worked diligently within his company, and with his company’s suppliers, to dramatically increase the benefits to his company of its supplied goods and services. Nominations are accepted from ASPI member companies, and the ASPI Board of Directors votes on submitted nominations.
