IP Promotes Wadley to Manager of Maysville Containerboard Mill

International Paper Co., Memphis, Tenn., USA, this week announced that Doug Wadley has been promoted to mill manager of its Maysville, Ky., containerboard mill. Wadley will have overall leadership responsibility at the mill for safety, engagement, operational excellence, commercial excellence, and global citizenship.

Wadley joined IP in 1994 at the company’s Texarkana, Texas, coated paperboard mill. Prior to the recent promotion to Maysville mill manager, he had served as operations manager at IP's containerboard mill in Savannah, Ga., since 2015. Wadley has also worked in other leadership roles throughout his career with IP.

In a related move, Steve Braun was promoted to manager, technical services for the International Paper Industrial Packaging Containerboard business. In this new position, Braun will have technical manufacturing responsibility for several of IP's containerboard mills, and will coordinate a number of manufacturing initiatives across the business.

Braun has more than 25 years of experience in the packaging, pulp, and paper industry. He had been mill manager at the Maysville mill since 2013. He will relocate to IP's global headquarters in Memphis.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Maysville team, as well as being part of the Maysville community. I know I am leaving this excellent team in great hands with Doug. I look forward to hearing about the team’s accomplishments in the future," said Braun.
