Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

Have you ever wondered how your salary, compensation, or benefits compare with others within the industry? While you are drinking your coffee today, you can take this year’s TAPPI Industry Compensation Survey and gain access right away to aggregated data results at no charge.

Evaluate your potential industry career growth by comparing your answers with those of your peers. Whether you are an individual curious about your potential, or an employer seeking to enhance your compensation package, the results are a valuable way to access specific information across TAPPI’s industries and see how you or your organization measures up.

To start, just take the survey at any time.Your answers are confidential. Once you complete 80% of the survey, you can access a full summary of aggregated compensation data. Access to the FY2016 results, including new trend reports comparing data from year-to-year, will be available in January 2017.

All comparisons have an on-demand pop-up chart that you can download to PowerPoint or PDF, or you may export the data to an Excel spreadsheet.

If you are a returning 2015 survey participant, use the "Copy Prior Year" feature to save time entering your FY16 data. Simply click the copy prior data link on each page, make any updates needed, and save the new data to 2016.

Participants will receive results upon completing 80% of the survey. Access to FY16 comparisons and trend reports (new), will be available in January 2017, once enough data is available. All answers are confidential.

Nonparticipants can also purchase access to the extensive aggregated data with filtering capabilities as well.

For a nominal charge, participants can access personal reporting, which includes question by question comparisons, which are able to be filtered by:
  • Industry segment
  • Job type
  • Geographic locations
  • Level of responsibility
  • Level of education
  • And more!
