Wepa Professional Hygiene, Germany, has awarded a contract to Zurich-based ABB to boost the energy efficiency of its tissue production facility in Piechowice, in southwestern Poland.

The amount of the investment in Piechowice was not disclosed by the firms.

WEPA has been active in the Polish tissue paper industry since 1992.
