China Continues Strong Export of Paper, Board Products

China’s 2016 paper exports remained strong through September 2016, with cartonboard up 27% y/y at a 2 million metric ton annual rate. The graph below, based on data provided by the China Customs Bureau, charts China’s exports from 2008 through September 2016 for coated free sheet (CFS), uncoated free sheet (UFS), and coated board grades.
