Valmet Makes Changes to Executive Team

David (Dave) King (B.Sc. (Eng) has been appointed area president of Valmet's North America area, effective Nov. 15, 2016. He will be a member of the Valmet Executive Team and report to President and CEO Pasi Laine.
 
King is currently employed at Valmet as SVP, pulp and energy, North America. During his career, he has gained vast leadership experience in several management positions covering services, sales, and business development in Valmet, Metso, and ABB. He has gained extensive experience in the power generation industry, in customer relationship management, and in team leadership.
 
The company also announced that William (Bill) Bohn, the current area president, North-America, has decided to retire in March 2017.  
 
"It is a pleasure to welcome Dave King to our executive team to further develop Valmet's North America operations and customer relations. Dave is known for his ability to bring out the best in people, and for his result and target oriented way of working. With these characteristics, I believe he is in an excellent position to strengthen our North American business even further. I also want to thank Bill Bohn for his long and successful career at Valmet and for his strong dedication to the company's success. We wish Bill all the best for his well-earned retirement," said Laine.
