U.S. Pulp Imports Rise

U.S. 2016 pulp imports were up close to 6% y/y through the month of August.  BSK (bleached softwood kraft) pulp imports were +5.9% and BHK (bleached hardwood kraft)pulp imports were +6.2%, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Census.
 
The following table shows U.S. pulp imports A(BSK and BHK) pulps for August andfro the first eight months of the year.
