PaperCon 2017 invites you to share your latest discoveries, technical advances and applications on April 23-26, 2017, in Minneapolis, Minn., USA. Submit your abstract for either PaperCon’sCoating and Graphic Arts Program (presented by TAPPI’s Coating and Graphic Arts Division) and/or PaperCon’s Papermaking and Recycled Board Program and be considered for inclusion in this global event. PaperCon is the largest pulp and paper technical program in the world and presenting at the conference will give you invaluable exposure among industry leaders.

The theme of this year’s conference is Renew, Rethink, Redefine the Future.

Abstract Deadline – October 28, 2016
The TAPPI Coating and Graphic Arts Division invites all paper, coating, and graphic arts professionals interested in participating in the Coating Program at PaperCon 2017 to submit an abstract by October 28.

Papermaking and Recycled Paperboard Program
Abstract Deadline – November  11
The Papermaking and Recycled Paperboard Program will include topic-specific tracks, a recycled paperboard technical seminar as well as a track of tutorials.The deadline for submissions of titles and abstracts for technical papers, panel sessions and roundtables is November 11 - less than one month away!
 
 
Track topics include: 
  • Papermaking Best Practices: Focusing on best practices in the paper machine area and how to renew good performance on the machines.
Renewing, Rethinking and Redefining Papermaking Additives:
  • Renewing focus on refreshing our understanding and sharing the current state of the art
  • Rethinking includes incremental optimization and improvement of the current state of the art of existing additives
  • Redefining focuses on innovations and non-incremental advancements leading to new additives and/or new application strategies that have previously not been utilized.  
  • Renew, Rethink, Redefine the Future of Process Control – part 1: Focusing on rethinking Process Control and what lies in the future
  • Best Practices in Fluid Fundamentals – part 2: Focusing on best available technologies and the progression of new technologies.
Seminar Includes:
  • Recycled Paperboard Technical Association Production Technical Seminar (RPTA P-T Seminar)
  • Focusing on topics relevant to manufacturers of recycled board grades such as multiply paperboard, linerboard, tube and core, and gypsum liner.
TAPPI is dedicated to providing a forum for new concepts and speakers. All paper company personnel, suppliers, students, and academics are strongly encouraged to submit abstracts via the Speaker Management System.
