Metso Appoints Four to Nominations Board

Metso (Helsinki, Finland) reported this past week that the company's four largest registered shareholders, as of September 1, agreed to appoint the following four professionally skilled industry investors and deeply involved stakeholders in the group to the Metso Shareholders' Nomination Board:
  • Kari Järvinen, managing director, Solidium Oy (share ownership 14.9%)
  • Niko Pakalén, VP, Cevian Capital AB (share ownership 13.8%)
  • Risto Murto, president and CEO, Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Co. (share ownership 3.4%)
  • Mikko Mursula, CIO, Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Co. (share ownership 1.6%).
Mikael Lilius, chairman of Metso's Board of Directors, will serve as the nomination board's expert member.

The nomination board is responsible for preparing proposals covering the composition of the board of directors and remuneration of the board members to the next annual general meeting.
