Drawings on Paper Create Electric 3-D City

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

This past week, Collective Evolution (King City, Ont., Canada) released a new video on the group's Facebook page showcasing a new ink pen that can conduct electricity on paper. The video shows the pen made by start up business AgIC (Tokyo, Japan). In the video, an entire model city is drawn on flat paper and then comes to life as special effects artists cut out paper along the drawn lines connected to LED lights.

When the cut outs are raised and powered they create a 3-D, fully lighted model city made entirely from a simple drawing on paper.
