Contech Appoints Abilio Franco to General Director

Contech (Gallego, Brazil), a global supply company specializing in the treatment segment of the pulp and paper garments, announced earlier this month that the company has hired P&P specialist and graduate in Management Development Abilio Franco to assume the position of general director of company operations. This professional will be responsible for creating policies and operational and strategic communication strategies aligned to the objectives and goals of the company.

The expectation of Contech, with this new contract, is to keep marketing leadership in Latin America, develop new solutions and portfolio for the pulp and paper market and expand exports. With extensive know-how and expertise, the professional will help the company achieve its corporate objectives. According to Franco, his biggest challenge will be to increase the participation of the company, both in Latin America, as in Europe, Asia, USA and Canada. "With my extensive experience in the pulp and paper industry, the Contech reach levels similar to what is already established in the Brazilian market, in these international markets," he said.

He has an education degree from the University of Philosophy (Fafit) and Management Development, PUC-Curitiba. Abilio Franco specializes in Pulp and Paper, having experience with the regional the Pulp and Paper Technical Center. He has traced a career in major national and international companies in the sector, where he held senior executive positions.
