DS Smith (London, U.K.) announced earlier this week the acquisition of POS and display products manufacturer Creo, based in southeast England and headquartered in London. The business is focused on FMCG, retail, and media markets.

"We are delighted to welcome Creo into the DS Smith Group and look forward to building on our joint expertise in this area. This investment in display further enhances our leading customer offering in this important and growing market segment," said DS Smith CEO Miles Roberts.

The company also reached an agreement this past week to purchase the Portuguese corrugated packaging manufacturer Gopaca.

With this acquisition, DS Smith said that it wants to strengthen its operations in Iberia, what is described as being an important and growing market for corrugated packaging. Furthermore, it will increase DS Smith's Pan-European customer offering.
