Recard to Rebuild Drenik Tissue Machine in Serbia

Recard, Italy, reports that it is returning to Serbia, thanks to the renewed trust by Drenik ND d.o.o., which placed an order for the rebuild of PM 1 supplied in 2004. After the rebuild, the machine will progress from a maximum speed of 800 m/min to 1,300 m/min and from a production capacity of 40 metric tpd to 70 metric tpd. Delivery is scheduled for September 2016 and startup for the end of November.

This increase in speed and production capacity is possible due to the fact that the machine was manufactured using high levels of design safety, and to Recard’s ability to always find the best technological solutions to meet customers’ needs.

This new order is a confirmation for Recard, who in 2007 also supplied Drenik with its PM 2, another turnkey plant inclusive of a tissue machine running at the working speed of 1,850 m/min and with a production capacity of 120 tpd. At its Belgrade facilities, the Serbian company produces about 43,000 metric tpy of tissue using exclusively the two Recard machines.

Drenik, founded in 1996, is headquartered in Belgrade and its facility covers 30,000 m2 on seven hectares of land. It produces its own line of tissue products for the Perfex and Boni brands, but is a supplier for other brands, too. It is very strong on the Serbian market and the Balkan region (Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia, and Croatia), and also exports in Eastern Europe to countries such as Romania, Slovenia, Bulgaria, and Hungary (where it has recently purchased a paper mill).
