DeZURIK Introduces New High Pressure Combination Air Valve

DeZURIK/APCO/Hilton, Sartell, Minn., USA, is introducing a new high pressure combination air valve, the ASU-CAV. This new single body, combination automatic air valve features an innovative design for clean or dirty services that delivers a wider operating range and minimal maintenance. The ASU-CAV is ideally suited for clean or dirty service applications in mining, petrochemical, water treatment, reverse osmosis, and high pressure (150-300 psi) wastewater.

The new valve builds on the successful design technology of the company’s ASU-SCAV valve, while providing an increased pressure range of 2-300 psi. Available in sizes of 1 in. to 4 in., with all stainless steel construction, the new valve delivers maximum corrosion resistance. The light weight, low profile design also operates without linkages to assure proper operation and increased durability, and meets AWWA C512 requirements.

APCO Single Body Combination Air Valves (ASU) can be used for clean or dirty services. The unique venting design provides varied and predictable air flow over a wide range of air release and air/vacuum conditions. A large diameter Air/Vacuum Disc provides high volume air flow for rapid venting during pipeline filling and allows high volumes of air to enter the pipeline during draining. During normal pipeline flow conditions, the dual-range air release design prevents air build up and resultant flow restrictions under changing conditions and through the full flow range.
