Kraft Paper Shipments by U.S. Producers Down 3.7% in April

Total U.S. kraft paper shipments in April 2016 were 137,800 tons, which is 3.7% lower than in April 2015, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) April 2016 Kraft Paper Report issued this past week. Bleached kraft paper shipments increased from 7,800 tons in March to 8,500 tons, while unbleached kraft paper decreased from 140,200 tons to 129,300 tons.
Overall, shipments in the first four months of 2016 were 1.1% lower than during the same period in 2015. Total month-end inventories decreased from 82,300 tons to 76,200 tons.
