TAPPI Industry Career Center: Econotech Services Ltd. Seeks Technical Sales Leader

Econotech is seeking a highly motivated and organized technical sales leader for the company's Delta, B.C., Canada location to act as the company’s key representative in developing customer relationships within its technical marketplace.
 
The successful candidate for technical sales leader will leverage Econotech’s solid reputation in long-standing accounts and take pride in the success and integrity of the company as it develops new relationships.
 
Reporting to the president, the key responsibilities for this position include:
  • Confidently leading Econotech’s sales development efforts.
  • Identifying and developing new accounts and then assisting transition of those new accounts into lasting relationships with Econotech’s technical team.
  • Identifying new sales opportunities within our existing accounts. This will include supporting the management team's current efforts as well as your own initiatives.
  • Working alongside our other customer facing staff to guide their own sales activities.
  • Identifying opportunities for expansion of our technical services by listening to new and potential customers and providing analysis of industry trends.
  • Organizing marketing materials to support our business growth.
  • This position will require approximately 20% travel to trade shows and customer sites in North America.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in sales and a technical aptitude sufficient to learn about and promote our highly specialized laboratory services. A B.S. degree, preferably in chemistry, is required.
Knowledge and experience in the pulp and paper industry would be an asset.
 
We are looking for a candidate who is mature, enthusiastic, and self-motivated, with excellent people skills and integrity.
