February Production Statistics for European Graphic Papers

According to numbers released this past week by Euro-Graph, Brussles, Belgium, total European shipments of graphic papers were down 1.6% vs. February 2015 and are down 5.2% year-to-date. Shipments of newsprint were down 0.5% vs. February 2015 and are down 4.5% year-to-date. Total shipments of SC-Magazine were UP 10.7% vs. February 2015 and are UP 2.9% year-to-date while coated mechanical reels were down 2.3% vs. February 2015 and are down 8.2% year-to-date.
Total European shipments of uncoated mechanical (improved and others) were down 9.8% vs. February 2015 and are down 10.4% year-to-date. Total shipments of coated woodfree papers were down 2.8% vs. February 2015 and are down 4.1% year-to-date, while total shipments of uncoated woodfree were down 4.2% vs. February 2015 and are down 6.2% year-to-date.
