EKA Paper Brings New Tissue Converting Facility Online in Turkey

 

EKA Paper, Turkey, has started up a new tissue converting operation at its tissue mill in Kocaeli, Turkey. The new converting plant allows EKA to align its tissue production with its away-from-home and at-home market goals.

"We are fully committed to the new venture and have been working closely with clients to develop new products for particular markets as well as supply them with their regular orders of finished products. We will also announce the new name for our converting operation so as to differentiate our paper and converting production business. We will also launch our own brand name products to the market over the coming months, which have been developed by British product designers for the Turkish and the international market."

 

EKA paper is currently converting Z Fold Towel, Centre Feed Towel, enMotion Paper Towel Rolls, Mini Jumbo and Jumbo Toilet, Centre Feed and mini (smart) Toilet, Bulk Toilet Tissue, and Couch Rolls. It intends to add more paper products to the portfolio as new machines are added to the converting facility.

 

EKA Paper is a Turkish paper manufacturer, producing tissue and Kraft/MG paper. It supplies paper to converters, including finished products to the AfH market and to consumer clients internationally.

EKA Paper is an integrated paper mill producing tissue and Kraft MG paper from its mill in Kocaeli. The company was formed in 2006, starting as a producer of MG paper in the basis weight range of 18 gsm to 150 gsm, produced from 100% virgin fiber and 100% recycled fiber. It is  one of the leading MG producers in Turkey. 

In 2014, EKA started producing tissue paper with an ABK Group ABK ITALIA– OVERMECHANICA supplied machine in the basis range of 12-42 gsm. It produces tissue paper from 100% virgin and 100% recycled fiber. The mill’s total capacity is 48,000 metric tpy. 

Currently, EKA Paper is the fastest growing paper mill in Turkey and is on-track to become one of the top three producers of tissue in a short period of time.
