Paperboard Production in U.S. Edges Up

Total boxboard outputby U.S. producers increased 0.5% compared with January 2015 and increased 2.6% from last month, as reported by the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) in its January 2016 U.S. Paperboard Report.
Unbleached kraft boxboard production in the U.S. increased over the same month as last year but decreased compared with last month. Total Solid bleached boxboard and liner production decreased compared with January 2015, but increased compared with last month.
The production of Recycled Boxboard increased compared with January 2015 and increased compared with last month.
