Smott to Return as President and CEO of Atlas Die

 

Atlas Die announced this past week the appointment and return of Ken Smott as president and CEO of the company.

"Atlas continues to be the premier die and die system supplier to the packaging and converting industry," Smott said. "I am both delighted and honored to once again be able to serve the leading converting companies with the most knowledgeable and innovative design and manufacturing teams in the industry."

 

Smott is returning to a post he held until one year ago and is replacing Scott Daniel, who is departing as president and CEO. Smott previously held the position of president and CEO for 15 years leading the steel rule, rotary, and solid tooling divisions operating under the Atlas Die, Atlas Chem-Milling, and Bernal brands. Smott is also recognized as a leader within the industry, having served on various boards as well being awarded the Volunteer Leader Award of Excellence in 2015 by the Paperboard Packaging Council.
