According to a report published earlier this week by Sustainable Nonwovens, West Yorkshire, U.K., Kimberly-Clark China (Shanghai, China) recently held a ceremony for its new diaper manufacturing facility in Tianjin, reinforcing its commitment to long-term development in China.

Covering more than 300,000 sq. meters, the Tianjin mill will feature a fully-automated production line, and is designed according to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards, established by the U.S. Department of Energy and Green Building Association.

Located in the Tianjin Airport Economic Area, the facility will produce Huggies, the leading diaper brand in China’s premium market since its entry into China in 1997.

Operating in China since 1994, Kimberly-Clark now has four manufacturing facilities in Beijing, Nanjing, and Shanghai that produce the company’s brands, including Kotex, Huggies, Kleenex, and Depend.
