Stora Enso, Finland, reports that its Langerbrugge Mill, Gent, Belgium, has selected PMT (Italy) for the rebuild of a Bel Bond Top Former on its No. 3 paper machine. PM 3 is a 6.5-meter-wide machine that produces supercalendered paper.

The PM 3 Bel Bond Top Former will be rebuilt to improve formation and profile stability. The current project follows the installation of a new press section by PMT on PM 3 in 2012.
.
Philippe Vermeulen, Stora Enso project manager, said that "after upgrading the press section of our PM 3, it was time to deal with the top former to improve process reliability and maintain a high quality product in terms of formation. PMT appeared to be the right partner thanks to their knowledge of both this process in detail and the particularities of our PM geometry."
