Metsä Tissue Announces New Organizational Structure

Metsä Tissue's Business Unit, Finland, has announced a new business structure, effective at the beginning of 2016. The new organization is based on four business units, as outlined below.

"The new setup enables us to put more focus on our key customer segments and boosts our product and offering development. We will also strengthen our customer service through a dedicated supply chain team," said CEO Petri Helsky. "We want to be the best partner for growth to our customers. To do this, we will keep the strong local focus that we have but also develop our offering both in Tissue and Baking & Cooking, in close collaboration with our customers."
 
Under the new organizational structure, effective January 1, Metsä Tissue has four business units:
  • Away-from-Home, headed by Juha Tilli
  • Baking & Cooking, headed by Mariusz Jedrzejewski
  • Consumer Continental, headed by Christoph Zeiler

Additionally, the company has five corporate functions—Finance, Strategy, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Technology and Communications.
 
Metsä Tissue is a supplier of tissue paper products to households and professionals in Europe and the world’s leading supplier of baking and cooking papers. Its main brands are Lambi, Serla, Mola, Tento, Katrin, and SAGA. With production units in five countries, Metsä Tissue employs a total of some 2,700 people. The company’s sales in 2014 were EUR 1 billion. Metsä Tissue is part of Metsä Group, Finland.
