Price of Wood Pulp to Increase More Moderately During Next Three Years

According to a report published this past month by Klabin, Brazil, the price of paper-based packaging has been increasing slowly for decades, and the price of wood pulp will continue to increase.

An IBS World report said the price of wood pulp is the dominant driving force in many types of packaging and during the next three years, it will increase at an annual rate of 1.3% after three prior years of annual 5.6% growth rates. The increase in price is caused by the demand from emerging countries.

Paper is a growing business, a business that unlike metals and oil, is not seeing the price of its products crash, but instead there is a stable increase in prices in this market. And among the largest producers in the world, Klabin believes it is particularly well suited to profit in this market.
