Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

Millar Western, Canada, this week announced that it is in advanced discussions to sell its Boyle lumber operation, including timber quotas, to Northland Forest Products Ltd. The terms of a transaction are not final, and the details of a transaction will only be provided if and when the parties enter into a definitive agreement in respect to a transaction.

If a definitive agreement is entered into, Millar Western currently anticipates that a transaction would be completed before year-end. Until such time, there can be no assurance that a definitive agreement will be executed or that a transaction will be completed. Moreover, the closing of any transaction would be subject to Government of Alberta approval and other customary conditions.

Millar Western is a privately owned forest products company operating dimension lumber and high yield pulp facilities in Whitecourt, Fox Creek and Boyle, Alberta, Canada.
