Kajo Neukirchen to Acquire Neenah Lahnstein Mill in Germany

The Kajo Neukirchen Group, Germany, will acquire Neenah Paper’s (Atlanta, Ga., USA) Neenah Lahnstein specialty paper and nowovens mill in Germany. Kaja Neukirchen specializes in the acquisition of medium-sized German companies in the industrial products sector. 

Pending approval from the competition authorities, the deal is expected to close this fall. Financial information was not disclosed. 

Neenah Lahnstein operates a mill near Koblenz, Germany, employing some 200 people. It The company specializes in high-quality specialty paper and wetlaid nonwovens for applications such as secure documents, weatherproof outdoor advertising, or wall panels and coverings. Neenah Lahnstein serves customers in Germany as well as in other European markets.
 
Dr Kajo Neukirchen, managing director of the Kajo Neukirchen group, said that the goal of the acquisition is "to steer the company towards high-quality, innovative products for industrial applications such as for the construction or advertising and media industry."
