Evonik Raises Hydrogen Peroxide Prices in North America

Evonik Corp., Parsippany, N.J., USA, this week announced it will raise prices for hydrogen peroxide (100% basis) by $0.05/lb. or C$140/metric ton in North America, as contracts allow.

Energy and fuel surcharges will remain in effect until further notice.

Evonik's Resource Efficiency segment is North America’s largest producer of the eco-friendly bleaching and oxidizing agent hydrogen peroxide, which is used primarily in paper and pulp bleaching.
 
Evonik produces hydrogen peroxide in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Korea, Indonesia, New Zealand, China, and South Africa. In fiscal 2014, the company had more than 33,000 employees and generated sales of around EUR 12.9 billion and an operating profit (adjusted EBITDA) of about EUR 1.9 billion.
