This senior North American business line position is a true business partner to the Automation BL president and is a key member of the Automation BL executive leadership team. This position is responsible for leading the North American business and includes:

 1. Responsibility for achieving annual sales targets and operating metrics. The successful candidate will be the leader of the North America organization providing focus, inspiration, and direction for 225 employees.
 2. Development and execution of the annual sales plan in conjunction with the global management team and overall company strategy. Manage the annual sales budgets and forecasts in North America.
 3. Integration of two vertical market businesses into one high performing business. The ability to drive positive and effective "change management" is an important and critical element.
 4. Responsibility for sales and service in North America that includes the introduction of effective sales processes designed to maximize revenue, gross margin, and market share optimization. Develop and lead sales training to improve skill sets, add capabilities and strengthen effectiveness of each team member.
 5. Responsibility for supporting and leading, in a global matrix environment, the North American project management team.
 6. Create metrics, monitor routinely, and drive a culture of high performance and strong accountability.
 7. Lead and drive a growth strategy for key account management designed to retain/grow core customers and aggressively acquire new customers.
 8. Manage customer profitability and customer satisfaction. Ensure customer value equals margin maximization.
 9. Manage effective relationships with key domestic and international customers, industry associations, distributors, dealers, and labor organizations. Leadership involvement and credibility is critical to both internal and external constituents.

The new VP, Sales and Services, North America will be an experienced sales professional with skills in retaining, servicing, and growing profitable revenue with existing customers. The successful candidate will have a successful history of identification of new targets with a track record of new customer acquisition and sustainable growth.
