TAPPI Career Center: Heritage Paper Seeks Lead Press Operator for California Location

Main responsibilities for this job will be to set-up and run all jobs as scheduled on the machine. Also, you must ensure that all tooling, print plates, anilox rolls, ink, and paper are handled correctly and used according to Heritage’s processes on all jobs. You will work closely with tooling and ink vendors to troubleshoot, improve, and innovate ways to improve quality, setup times, and run speed. You will oversee the performance and improvement of the operators of the press and be expected to continue to educate and improve the team. On a day-to-day basis, you will be expected to set up and run all jobs as scheduled in accordance with Heritage’s strict processes and quality standards. Your work will enable the company to become the best printer and packaging supplier in the world. Job requirements include: 
  • 5-10 years’ experience in printing
  • An eye for color
  • Leadership experience
  • Customer focused
  • Process driven and solution oriented
  • Comfortable with using and communicating performance metrics
  • Can lift 50 lb.
  • Willing to work long hours on feet
  • Able to read technical drawings
  • Willing to travel domestically and/or internationally for training.
