Lecta Announces Global Price Increase on CWF Papers

Lecta, Milan, Italy, has announced a price increase expected to range from 6% to 8% on its two-side CWF papers. The price increase will be effective in paper deliveries beginning July 1.

This price movement is unavoidable to offset rising manufacturing costs, particularly for raw materials, the company noted.

Lecta sales teams report they will be at customers’ disposal to provide specific information on how the price increase will be applied on a country by country basis.
Lecta’s Merchanting Division, made up of Torraspapel Distribution in Spain and Portugal, Torraspapel Malmenayde in France, and Polyedra in Italy, has announced a price increase on deliveries of its coated (CWF) papers as well as uncoated woodfree papers and some other grades effective July 1.

The price increases recently announced by paper manufacturers have forced Lecta Merchanting Division to apply a 65 to 9% price increase in all channels, not just CWF alone.

All Lecta customers will be reportedly informed personally by Lecta sales teams, providing any further information they should require.

Lecta is one of the largest manufacturers of coated woodfree paper in the world. It was created in the late 1990s through the acquisition of three long-established companies from Southern Europe: the Italian Garda, the French Condat and the Spanish Torraspapel.
