TAPPI and Performance Consultants Associates Inc. (PCA), Duluth, Ga., USA, will conduct a Work Management Simulation Workshop for Pulp & Paper Managers July 21-22, 2015, at TAPPI headquarters in Peachtree Corners, Ga. This highly-participative, full two-day workshop will guide cross-functional, multi-disciplined management participants through "hands-on" scenarios to better understand and eventually better manage their overall Asset Reliability Maintenance functions.

Participants in this workshop will come away with a much clearer picture of where significant improvement opportunities may lie within their organizations. They will quickly experience critical interactions from other departments’ perspective and fully understand what is meant by the phrase..."It’s not just maintenance anymore!"

As Dick DeFazio, CEO of PCA, points out, "best–in-class" companies must have superior tools available to foster an effective culture for dealing with change. "We believe that world class companies must develop tools and cultures for dealing with change, and that simulation events are at the vanguard of illustrating the ‘whys’ and ‘hows’ of change management. This special workshop introduces sustainable change in how people understand their roles, perform their jobs, and work together effectively within their own organizations."

Defazio further emphasizes that "our simulation environment is highly successful because it presents real-world ways for companies to deal with real-world problems and help change highly reactive cultures to one that is more proactive by re-introducing the ‘management of change concepts’ into the overall asset management effort."

More information about the Work-Management Simulation Workshop for Pulp & Paper Managers will be included in next week’s Over the Wire, along with information on how to register and reserve a place for you and your company at this unique, simulation-based learning event.
