TAPPI Announces 2015 NETInc (Innovative Nonwovens Conference) Program

TAPPI’s Nonwovens division has announced its program for the 2015 NETInc (Innovative Nonwovens Conference) being held April 19-22 in Atlanta Ga., USA. The program features speakers from all segments of the nonwovens industry and is sure to have a little something for anyone wanting to further their knowledge. 
 
Highlights of the conference include an opening session featuring the presentation of the Innovation in Nonwovens award sponsored by HERTY. This kick-off session will feature a presentation from HERTY on their ongoing research as well as a presentation from the award winners on their accomplishments in the industry.    
 
A tutorial on Flammability and Flame Retardants in Fibers and Polymers will be presented by Dr. Royal Broughton of Auburn University. A general summary of those conditions which initiate and sustain flammability will be presented along with the typical principles that can be used to restrict flammability. 
 
Additional sessions focus on Nanotechnology, Antimicrobial/Bioactive Products, Wet Laid Processes and Protective Materials. Conference attendees also have access to the PaperCon exhibit hall hosting over 140 companies and have various opportunities to network amongst peers.  Events, from the Runnability Fun Run 5k to the NETworking Happy Hour present opportunities to do something you enjoy while making or maintaining quality industry relationships. NETInc (Innovative Nonwovens Conference) is co-located with TAPPI’s Centennial Celebration which includes PaperCon, the Tissue 360 Forum, OpEx Maintenance and Reliability Seminar, and the Recycled Paperboard Technical Associations PT Seminar. Additional Centennial Programming is being presented by TAPPI’s corrugated, PLACE, Pulp Manufacturing, and Nanotechnology Divisions. In addition to the diverse technical program the highlight of the week will be TAPPI’s Centennial Celebration Gala on Monday April 20th.
