Thanks to the very generous donation of $8,000 from RockTenn, Norcross, Ga., USA, the TAPPI Trees project has reached its goal! Representatives from TAPPI, RockTenn and other sponsors will now be planting 100 trees in Decatur, Ga., (Metro Atlanta) on February 27, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m EST.

In recognition of TAPPI’s centennial anniversary and to increase awareness of how the pulp and paper industry sustains well-managed forests, TAPPI teamed up with Trees Atlanta to commence this initiative.

Trees Atlanta provides a two-year warrantee on each tree, which includes weekly watering, mulching, pruning and weeding maintenance.

To participate in planting these trees, please contact Ben Hopper at (1)770-209-7248 or bhopper@tappi.org.
