Robin Ahlström Resigns as Ahlstrom Chairman

Ahlstrom Corp., Finland, reports that Chairman of the Board Robin Ahlström (photo) has announced his resignation due to serious illness. The company’s board of directors subsequently elected Panu Routila chairman as of January 26. Routila will also become a member of the Shareholders' Nomination Board, and has been elected a member of the Human Resources Committee.
"We would like to warmly thank Robin Ahlström for his dedication and excellent contribution to Ahlstrom. He has served on the board of Ahlstrom as chairman, vice chairman, and as a board member," said Routila.
As of this week, there will be six members on the Ahlstrom Board of Directors. The term of the directors will expire at the close of the next Annual General Meeting.
