Containerboard Production Drops in U.S.

Containerboard production by U.S. mills was 4.8% lower in November 2014 than in October 2014, 5.9% higher than November of 2013, and 1.4% higher year-to-date, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) November 2014 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report. The month-over-month average daily production was 1.65% lower.
The containerboard operating rate for November 2014 dropped to 94.3% from October’s 96.9%.
