Jiangmen Xinghui Celebrates Startup of PMT–Supplied Coated Box Board Mill

In 2011, Japan Hokuetsu Kishu Paper Co., Japan Mitsubishi Corp., and Hong Kong Hop Chong Paper Co., established a joint venture company known as Xinghui Paper Co. The joint venture subsequently created a new company and paper mill in the Guangdong Province of China named Jiangmen Xinghui Paper Mill Co., for the production of 300,000 metric tpy of coated white line chip board.
 
 
 
The mill’s new paper machine has a wire width of 4,900 mm and produces duplex white board with grey back in a range of 230 to 500 gsm, at a maximum operating speed of 650 m/min.
 
A ceremony to celebrate the successful completion and startup of the new mill was recently held, during which the paper machine’s supplier, PMT Italia (Italy), was awarded an Outstanding Supplier Medal by the president of Hokuetsu Kishu, for the supply of four headboxes, the shoe press, and the winder.
 
PMT notes that this successful project represents a very significant milestone for its ongoing development in the Asian market, as well as "a promising starting point for a fruitful cooperation with a leading player in these countries.
