Veritiv Corp., Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, this week announced that it will move its corporate headquarters to the Atlanta, Ga., area. Veritiv was formed in July by the merger of International Paper Co.’s (Memphis, Tenn.) xpedx and Unisource Worldwide Inc. The company initially split its headquarters between Loveland, Ohio, the Cincinnati suburb that was home to xpedx's corporate offices when it was part of IP, and the Atlanta suburb of Norcross, Ga., where Unisource was located.

Veritiv chose Northpark Town Center in the Atlanta suburb of Sandy Springs for its executive offices. The facilities will house 125 to 159 employees. Veritiv has some 630 Cincinnati area employees who will remain in the area, and another 500 or so employees in Loveland, with the others split between Fairfield and Hebron. Greater Cincinnati is the company's largest employee base, largely as a home for operational and customer service employees. Veritiv has about 9,500 employees in 170 distribution centers in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

Veritiv distributes paper, specialty paper, coated paper, packaging for online retailers, and products such as hand sanitizers and cleaning products used in office buildings. It expects to generate about $10 billion in annual revenue. Mary Laschinger (photo) is the CEO of Veritiv.
