Romanian pulp and paper mill Somes Dej, which went bankrupt in 2013 and is owned by businessman Stefan Vuza, is up for sale through direct negotiation, at a starting price of about EUR 7.9 million (without VAT), reports local Mediafax. The pulp and paper producer became insolvent in late January 2013 and entered bankruptcy last December. The company’s judicial administrator, Transylvania Insolvency House, currently organizes the direct negotiation procedure to sell the industrial platform.

The plant had a capacity of about 70,000 tons of pulp and 50,000 tons of paper per year, but the pulp production was stopped in 2008, and that of paper in 2010, as the assets were frozen.
