RockTenn Co., Norcross, Ga., USA, plans to start work later this month installing new machines and equipment at its Mooresville, N.C., plant, bizjournals.com reports. According to the company, the investment will not increase the work force at the 94-employee plant.

"Our community understands that these capital improvements will enable the company to have long-term viability in the marketplace and a home in Iredell County," said Robert Carney, executive director of the Mooresville-South Iredell Economic Development Corp.

RockTenn has 27,000 employees at 160 plants in the Americas. It makes low-cost paperboard and packaging for use in consumer products and other goods.
