Panasonic has introduced its new Ultra Compact Intelligent Calibration System. The new calibration system eliminates the need for an extra analyzer unit and special cables, improving ease of use and portability. This new system only requires the transducer and a USB cable. It can be used with a PC and supplied software, or Android device with optional software.

This system features a new design in joint simulators, minimizing friction using a unique new washer design that does not require lubrication. The stationary torque transducer with joint simulators are designed to be used with Panasonic’s mechanical pulse tools, oil pulse tools, and any manufacturer’s direct drive assembly tools, and features extreme accuracy and reliability.

The intelligent stationary torque transducer features automatic transducer recognition with a USB plug ‘n play capability. The utilization of advanced software includes data acquisition, graphing, adjustable filters, and easily exports data to Excel files, allowing the system to operate with higher functionality and greater efficiency.

The torque range of the new transducers is 20 Nm (CW/CCW) 3/8 in. square drive and 100 Nm (CW/CCW) ½ in. square drive, with an accuracy of 0.1% of F.S.R. A smart memory database retains all settings and collects data at 2k/8k samples/sec. The intelligent stationary transducers are built to last and feature an ultra compact size.
