Packsize International, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, has appointed Sanjeev "Sonny" Tara as COO of its On Demand Packaging® software and manufacturing provider. Tara brings strong discipline and experience in executing growth strategies and will be responsible for scaling internal systems and business processes for global operations while ensuring operational excellence across the entire company. He will report to Packsize CEO Hanko Kiessner.

"Sonny brings us amazing talent and an impressive breadth of management and planning experience," said Kiessner. "This new role is a result of the scale and complexity of our company today. Sonny will help us gain exactly the kind of growth and market success that Packsize aspires to achieve over the next few years."

Tara was formerly president of Drive Train Products Group, a heavy truck division of Marmon Highway Technologies, a Berkshire Hathaway Co., where he was responsible for articulating and implementing its global strategy. Tara was also formerly COO of Oshkosh Commercial Group, a segment of Oshkosh Corp., a manufacturer of heavy commercial equipment and vehicles that he joined in 2006 as CFO. At Oshkosh, Tara helped guide strategy to gain double-digit profitability, led a Lean and Six Sigma implementation, and grew the segment's business opportunities globally by initiating expansion into Brazil, China, and India, and by establishing key multi-national relationships in China and Japan. Tara also held various executive positions overseeing finance, IT, and supply chain operations with Steelcase Corp. and its wholly owned subsidiaries from 1998 to 2006.

Tara received an Advanced Management degree from The Wharton School of Business and his MBA from Wake Forest University School of Business in North Carolina. Tara also holds certification in supply chain management from Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business.
