IP Elects Young to its Board of Directors

International Paper Co., Memphis, Tenn., USA, has elected Ray G. Young to its board of directors, effective October 1. Young, 52, has been SVP and CFO of Archer Daniels Midland Co. (ADM) since 2010. Prior to joining ADM, Young served as VP of international operations in China at General Motors Co. (GM), as well as EVP and CFO of GM.
 
"Ray's exceptional financial expertise, strategic acumen, and deep international knowledge of global operations, add a unique and valuable perspective to the International Paper board of directors," said John Faraci, chairman and CEO. "We are extremely pleased to have him join our board."
 
IP is a global leader in packaging and paper with manufacturing operations in North America, Europe, Latin America, Russia, Asia, and North Africa. Its businesses include industrial and consumer packaging and uncoated papers. The company employs approximately 65,000 people and is strategically located in more than 24 countries serving customers worldwide. Its net sales for 2013 were $29 billion.
