"PIG" Application Developers Visit TAPPI

A new mobile application or "APP" called PIG© (Pulp Info Global) has been developed to provide pulp and paper industry information to smartphone and tablet users. Two of the APP’s developers, Christian Chavassieu (right photo) and Brian McClay (left photo), visited TAPPI in Peachtree Corners, Ga., USA, this past week to demonstrate their product.

   

PIG provides a variety of current pulp and paper market info in real time, including breaking market news about business and trade aspects of the industry and publicly available pricing and volume indices. PIG indices emphasize true net-net price transactions, not published list prices, and avoid any forward looking information that may have antitrust implications.
