Davis-Standard Introduces New Curtain Slide Coater

Davis-Standard, Pawcatuck, Conn., USA, a supplier of liquid coating systems for tapes and labels, silicone-coating products, and specialty coatings, has introduced a new curtain slide coater, its latest liquid coating breakthrough. This coater, on display at Labelexpo, September 9-11, applies a single layer coating at up to 2,800 fpm with expansion capabilities up to two additional layers. 
 
The new five-roll silicone coater also offers impressive rates, capable of applying 100% Silicone at 2,400 fpm. The curtain slide coater is constructed of stainless steel for ease of cleanup and includes a state-of-the-art mist removal system.
 
Davis-Standard supplies technology for slow or high-speed applications, clean room environments, film or paper substrates, ultra thin and ultra thick coatings, and precision coating and drying. Additionally, the company offers lab capabilities at its facility in Fulton, N.Y. The labs are ideal for testing and validating a variety of converting process solutions and formulations. Capabilities include two liquid coating lines, a co-extrusion line for cast film and extrusion coating, a coreless stretch film winder, and a universal underwater/water ring pelletizer and plastic compounding lab.
