Elopak Begins Construction of New converting Facility in Canada

Elopak Canada, St. Leonard, Que., Canada, recently held a symbolic groundbreaking event to announce the construction of a new converting facility. The new 28,500 cubic meter building will be located at Des Grandes-Tourelles in Boisbriand, Que., representing an investment of C$30 million dollars. The hand-over of the building to Elopak Canada, who signed a 20 year lease, is expected this December.
 
Elopak Canada, currently in Saint-Leonard, will be moving all of its operations and workforce to the new site. With the addition of new equipment and technology, Elopak will significantly increase its manufacturing capacity.
 
Elopak Canada is owed by Elopak AS, a Norway-based international company in the liquid food packaging industry. Owned by Ferd Group, Elopak AS owns and operates facilities in 40 countries, serving clients in 80 countries worldwide.
