PEERS Keynote to Focus on Advance Manufacturing Technologies

Keynote Speaker Ron Brown, President and Executive Director of Agenda 2020 Technology Alliance will address "Mapping our Future: Advanced Manufacturing of Pulp, Paper, and Forest Bioproducts" at the TAPPI PEERS Conference, September 14-17 in Tacoma, Wash., USA.

Significant potential exists in the pulp and paper industry to transform elements of its manufacturing processes by developing and using new, advanced technologies. Attend PEERS and learn how Agenda 2020 outlines a vision for pulp and paper manufacturers that targets 25%-50% improvement in energy and water intensity, sizable decreases in greenhouse gas emissions, reductions in capital costs for major unit operations, and growth opportunities from new bio-based products representing $25 billion a year in new revenues.

The elements of the vision for manufacturing pulp, paper, and forest-based bioproducts align directly with U.S. national goals in the Advanced Manufacturing Initiative and the Clean Energy Manufacturing Initiative. Learn more about PEERS.

For 2014, PEERS will be co-located with the International Bioenergy and Bioproducts Conference, creating a value-added opportunity for you to expand your learning, networking, and resources by attending both conferences.
