Andritz, Graz, Austria, reports that it has received an order from Leipa Georg Leinfelder to supply components for rebuild of the screening system in the DIP 1 deinking plant at its Schwedt mill, Germany. The rebuild, scheduled for completion this October, is intended to achieve significant energy savings and also to further reduce losses in the screening plant.

The order includes the complete rebuild of the coarse screening plant, including a new tail screen and delivery of a new first stage for slot screening. A particular challenge in this rebuild project is the short shutdown time of only 72 hours available for switching over to the new components and restarting the plant.

The pulp produced by Leipa Georg Leinfelder will be used to make the top layer for white coated liner and for magazine paper grades.
